The City Soft System combines two important treatment steps in one space-saving design: carbon filtration and water softening.
Incoming water first flows through the carbon media tank, where chlorine, taste, and odour are reduced before the water reaches the softener resin. This helps protect the resin from chlorine exposure, which can extend system life and improve long-term performance. The water then flows through high-capacity ion exchange resin, where hardness minerals are exchanged to provide softened water throughout the home.
This system is ideal for homes on chlorinated municipal/city water where the main concerns are hard water scale, water spots, dry skin, soap scum, chlorine taste, and chlorine odour.
The stacked design keeps the carbon filter and softener resin in separate tanks, improving performance compared to a single mixed-bed system while still saving installation space.

The City Soft System uses a Clack WS1 metered control valve designed for efficient on-demand operation. The valve monitors water usage and automatically calculates regeneration based on the programmed hardness setting and remaining capacity.

Installation Notes
The City Soft System should be installed indoors in a dry location protected from freezing. It should be installed after the water meter on municipal water supplies, or after the pressure tank on private well systems.
Important Note
The City Soft System is designed for chlorinated city water. It is not intended to treat iron, manganese, sulfur/rotten egg odour, bacteria, or heavy sediment. If your water contains these issues, additional pre-treatment may be required.
