This genuine Valuetrex 5 micron sediment filter is designed to reduce sediment, sand, silt, rust, and scale from your water supply. Built with a durable 4-layer polypropylene structure, this 9 7/8" filter helps protect plumbing, appliances, reverse osmosis systems, and UV water treatment systems by removing fine particles before they reach downstream equipment.

These filters are suitable for both municipal and well water applications and are commonly used as a prefilter before reverse osmosis or UV systems.

little improvement

the filters I ordered and installed so far 10" #1227867 and 10" #1227871 diminished
the quantity of sediment in the water but keep in mind my problem is severe
( shallow well ) so eager to receive the 20" I ordered and see . . .
