The HydroTAC TAC Scale Prevention Cartridge uses patented Template Assisted Crystallization® (TAC®) technology to help prevent scale buildup without the use of salt, chemicals, or electricity.
Unlike traditional water softeners, TAC® technology does not remove healthy minerals like calcium and magnesium from your water. Instead, it transforms hardness minerals into harmless microscopic crystals that are less likely to stick to pipes, fixtures, heating elements, and appliances.
HydroTAC® has been independently tested and proven to help prevent and reduce up to 99.6% of scale buildup while maintaining the natural mineral content of your water. The long-lasting media is not consumed during the treatment process, allowing the cartridge to last up to 3 years or 250,000 gallons with minimal maintenance.
